A faucet is a site or application that allows you to collect free coins at a predetermined interval. The purpose of the faucets is to easily share coins with everyone, helping people new to crypto get a starting point, since they usually just require you having a valid wallet address to receive the coins.

Every faucet has it own set of limits, like maximum coins able to be claimed and also how often you can make a claim. Also some faucets might ask you to make some simple tasks to claim the coins, this usually involves watching an ad or just filling a captcha.

Most faucet funds are funded by the owners themselves, by donations from the community or by ads, this also helps cover the server costs.
